Non-Sparking / Non-Magnetic Safety Hammers
CS Unitec’s Non-sparking and Non-magnetic hammers are manufactured from special Aluminum-Bronze (AlBr) or Copper-Beryllium (CuBe) alloys for safe use in Ex zones and where hazardous, flammable or combustible vapors, liquids, dusts or residues may be present. CS Unitec Corrosion-resistant Safety Tools are the ideal choice when working in marine and offshore environments. Corrosion and rust can be extremely dangerous in hazardous environments. Impacts involving rust can initiate a thermal reaction which can cause an ignition in an explosive atmosphere.
- CS Unitec Copper-Beryllium Tools (CuBe2) help fulfill the demand in the ATEX directive for work in Zone 0, 1 and 2 (Gas, Mists or Vapors); Zones 20, 21 and 22 (Dusts); and M1 and M2 for mining.

CS Unitec's Non-sparking, Non-magnetic Safety Hand Tools are manufactured from special Aluminum-Bronze or Copper-Beryllium alloys for safe use in Ex zones where hazardous, flammable or combustible vapors, liquids, dusts or residues may be present. Our line of safety tools consists of hammers, flange wedges, striking wrenches, impact sockets, screwdrivers, shovels and other hand tools. They comply with ATEX Directives for Ex Zones 0, 1 and 2 (Flammable Gas, Mists or Vapors); Zones 20, 21 and 22 (Combustible Dusts); and M1 and M2 for mining. Appropriate applications include oil drilling platforms, petrochemical plants, oil refineries, natural gas installations, ammunition plants, varnish factories, sugar refineries, grain silos, mining and other industries where non-sparking safety tools are required. The non-magnetic feature of these alloys also makes them ideal for working on special machinery with powerful magnets such as MRI machines, military de-mining and explosives. CS Unitec's safety tools are drop forged for the highest quality in hand tools. The manufacture of our safety tools is ISO9001: 2000 certified, and our Tools are recommended and certified by several international organizations such as BVQI, DNV and Force Technologies. Our Safety Tools are continuously spark-proof tested according to strict test procedure (CST Test). Because of the heat treatment processes, our Copper-Beryllium Tools (CuBe2) have a Rockwell C hardness of 38 HRC. CS Unitec Aluminum-Bronze Tools have a Rockwell C Hardness of 27 HRC. These corrosion-resistant tools are suitable for use in shipyards, laboratories, and paper and pulp mills, as well as in the pharmaceutical, food product manufacturing and wine industries.
